Object: The Veil Nebula (eastern part) - NGC 6992 in H-alpha light
Date/Time: 10/21/06,  9-11pm MDT
Location: SNMSP - City of Rocks State Park, NM.
Camera: Meade DSI Pro II using a Schuler 9mm Ha filter
Exposure: 31x4 minutes
Telescope: TeleVue 85mm refractor (f/5.6) piggyback on a Meade 10" LX200
Guiding: Modified webcam and GuideDog
Processing: Calibration, registration, and stacking (SigmaClipAvg) using ImagesPlus.  16 bit processing in PhotoShop with a final light noise reduction using PixInsight.
Comments: The Veil nebula is an expanding supernova remnant in the constellation Cygnus.  This image reveals part of the eastern half of this bright nebula and was captured on a beautiful night at the Southern New Mexico Star Party near the Gila Wilderness.
