Frolic in the Fall

Local restaurants include the Glass Lounge, McDonald's, Wendy's, Pizza Hut, the Jade Dragon, Morgans Place and the Italian Grille, all located on Front Street. Follow Route 443 till it ends at the river on Front Street, and turn left. Follow Front Street for a mile or so to get to the restaurants. Within that mile you will go past the historic Fort hunter Mansion and grounds, and under the Rockville Bridge, the longest stone arch span railroad bridge in the world. There is also a mini-mart and Sunoco and Exxon gas stations, and Super 8 and Days Inn motels, on Front Streeet prior to I-81.

CAMPING

Recommended campground is the Riverfront Campground, about 10 miles away in Duncannon.  Just after crossing the Susquehanna River on 322 West, the campground is off the exit to the left.  Go to their web page for more information, directions and phone number.
