Dave Kube's work is engaging, contemporary, and at times, humorous. Kube has been committed to a positive mission of consciousness raising for the gay community. Without pedantic preaching, he explores issues of vulnerability and misunderstanding in relation to gay experiences. All of his work brings gay issues and sensibilities directly to the forefront. As a former graphic designer, he brings many skills together in his photo based works.

Dave Kube was born in St. Charles, Mo. on April 25, 1983. He moved to Springfield, Il when he was 8 and lived there until he was 24. He currently resides in Philadelphia where he attends Graduate school for photography at Tyler School of Art. The solidarity and energy of a larger gay arts community in the Mid Atlantic and New York areas has brought added interest and inspiration to Kube's artwork. Kube has confidently made real efforts to find and significantly connect to this larger gay arts community.
