Hannah Martin

Not to be confused with her mother, Hannah Martin was the last of the fourteen children of Nathaniel Martin and Hannah Strader. Like all too many of her siblings, Hannah died very young. She was born 26 May 1870 and died 26 December 1870 -- a lifetime of precisely seven months. She was born and died in Martintown, WI and is buried in the Martin cemetery.

Shown is the reverse side of the gravemarker of Nathaniel and Hannah Martin. Photograph taken 2 November 2005 by Dave Smeds. This marker, the largest in the Martin cemetery, was used for five of the children -- all ones who died as infants or toddlers. The graves of William and Christa Belle (Christie B.) are positioned on the sides, while the back is devoted to three children -- Charles, James Franklin, and Hannah.
