1954 Blank back, most players in dark cap
with light “S”.
1955 Blank back, all players light caps with “R” logo. 1956 Blank back or Gil’s Drive-Ins (2 locations), light cap with white “R”. 1957 Blank back or Gil’s Drive-Ins (3 locations), lighter cap with white “R”. No base on letter “T” on outfielders or pitchers cards. 1958 All cards have Ralph’s Thriftway Market ad on back. 1959 Blank back. 1st printing lighter cap with white “R”. 2nd printing darker caps with shadow around “R”. 1960 Blank back, all players posed against outfield fence wearing dark caps with shadowed “R”. 1961 New uniforms, dark cap with stylized “S”, “Rainiers on chest. Many players both portrait and action. Tough to distinguish from 1962 set. Names on ‘61s are more compact, bold than on ’62 which has taller, lighter names. 1962 Blank back, nearly identical to ‘61s except for player name. Some photos repeated from 1961. 1963-64 Blank back, no positions on cards except for manager and coach. ’63 and ’64 same except for player selection. 1965 (Angels) Back has cartoon angel batting, several pre-season cards have blank backs. 1966 (Angels) Back has cartoon angel pitching, first “Presented by” advertiser at bottom is Chevron Dealers. 1967 (Angels) Back has cartoon angel pitching, first “Presented by” advertiser at bottom is Western Airlines. 1968 (Angels) Blank back.
