All times Central Time unless otherwise indicated

July 4-5, 2009, Saturday-Sunday: Henagar-Union Convention, Liberty Baptist Church, Henagar, AL (directions and map); Saturday singing begins at 9:00 AM, Sunday at 9:30 AM. A singing of legend; Liberty Church has incredibly live accoustics, and the church was made famous by its role hosting the singing used in the soundtrack of the movie Cold Mountain. Dinner on the grounds at Henagar-Union has been celebrated in Saveur Magazine, and the Saturday evening picking at Coy Ivey's barn is impressive.

July 5, 2009--NO regular monthly singing this month (we're planning to be in Henagar!!).

August 5, 2009, Sunday, 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM: Our regular monthly singing, at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 3201 Hillsboro Road (directions and map).

Summertime sees a heavy schedule for Sacred Harp singings, many of which are in easy driving distance from Nashville. Those interested in them--especially those out-of-the-way local singings--should consult Warren Steel's 2009 directory of annual Sacred Harp singings.
