Doberman Rescue

Huxley

       Darwin's Laberman

Huxley is a Doberman/Labrador rescue - our first Laberman.  His retriever qualities include a fascination with things that fly – airplanes, birds, flies (including Drosophila) and dust particles in the sunlight – ball obsession and aquatics – the latter two typically non-Doberman characteristics.  His Doberman behaviors include a high level of alertness and responsibility for the house and everyone in it, Wookie-speak punctuated with that high pitched, metal ringing  bark, a lapdog self image, velcro attachment points  – butt, ribs, shoulder and head  – and the prerequisite sleeping covered up.

Huxley is number 5 in our dobie legacy, our first male, our first mix and the first puppy in a long time.  He is a big boy - 35 lbs at 5 months, 85 lbs at 12 months, and 95 lbs at 18 months.
