| Lexi was found at the Contra Costa Animal Shelter when she was 6 months old. She had a white patch on a rear paw and a breeder had given her to an apartment dweller who quickly decided he could not deal with her. Our neighbor had a beautiful bitch and we had fallen in love with the breed. We had visited the shelter on a whim that day and there was Lexi. Annie (1986-1989) | |

Annie was a hit & run victim in the Oakland Hills. She was found by a jogger at the bottom of a ravine who carried her out and took her to a vet for treatment. She was nursed back to health, but required another home. Dixie heard about her through a friend at work - it was love at first sight. Annie had a rough life before coming to us, but her last 3 years were plush... |
