Some Customers have reported the following, or similar, error message
when installing the CD:
The following files failed to self register
C:\Windows\System\CRYSTL32.OCX.
We are currently working on a fix.
To immediately start using your CD please download the demo
here and turn it live
using your license number located on the back of your CD case.
Have you ran the Microsoft Windows Update? It is located here
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com. Once you are at that page click on the
PRODUCT UPDATES link. Once you have run the Microsoft Recommended updates
that are available for your Windows system try installing FTWO again.

section is quite extensive and will answer most of your questions.
