There are many intelligent species in the universe. They are all owned by cats. - Anonymous

Felix: Born July 1993(?) All we really
know is that he's at least 5 years old; we picked him up in mid-September '98 from the shelter. He's
very friendly, a chatterbox (but not annoying - and he loves it when you talk back to him),
loves being picked up and having his back rubbed. He weighs 15 pounds now - it's impossible to
feed kitten food to a kitten and regular cat food to an adult cat without them raiding each
other's dishes, unless you want to completely separate the two of them... so he gained a bit of
weight.
(July 2000) 18 pounds now...
Not the prettiest cat in the world, he's a long-legged beastie. He doesn't lay down the
way other cats do... he sits down, and then just flops over. A little jumpy when we first got
him, he's getting sillier and sillier all the time. He's definitely adopted me... he always wants to know where I am - not that I mind. One of the very few cats I've ever seen that likes to be picked up... he drapes himself over my shoulder like a fat dishrag and purrs to beat the band.
(February 25th, 2006) He died peacefully in his sleep this morning of liver failure. Basically he's been starving himself
for the past six weeks... but there was nothing we could do about it other than possibly intravenous feeding, which
would have been more traumatic for him than just letting him go. He wasn't in any pain, and he seemed quite happy with life.
