Cats can work out mathematically the exact place to sit that will cause most inconvenience. - Pam Brown
Callie, Mickey & Misti (Index is at bottom of page)
Tawny: age, about 4 years old - we picked her up today (April 6th, 2006) from the
Animal Rescue League of NH in Bedford, truly one of the best shelters I've ever seen. She's all white, except for the brown & black
calico coloring on the top of her head... and her entire tail.
We've renamed her "Callie" - short for Calico Cat... we had considered naming her "C.C.", short for "Chris-Craft" (a type of motorboat), because when she purrs you can hear her all the way across the room. She was at the shelter for almost 5 months, but it's obvious that she had a good family before that - she's well trained, doesn't scratch (much), and takes care of herself quite well. Fairly friendly and so very soft.
Callie, the incredible fuzzball (June 2006) - note the calico colorations on head and tail, typical of a Turkish Van.

Mickey - we picked her up on May 8th from the Manchester Shelter... not as nice a place as Bedford. Mickey is tiny... she barely weighs 7 pounds. Only a year old, she's already had kittens. When we picked her up, she had a respiratory infection, but now that it's cleared up she's bouncy and healthy. She's definitely adopted me, but she loves everybody.
