well i've been singing my song
for so dab blame long
hoping and praying babe
that you would come along
i've been a road needing signs
i've been a bottle needing wine
ever since i was three

i've been picturing you and me
swinging from vines in trees
tarzan and jane babe
that's how i want it to be
i've been jumping at the chance
to make a sweet romance
ever since i was three

well then you finally stop and say
hello and how are you babe
you can see in my eyes
what i'm trying to say
cause it is written so loud and clear
how much i need you here
it's a dream that i've had for such
a long long time
ever since i was three, four, five, more
ten, twenty, thirty, forty, fifty or more

i'm just honey needing bees
i've been a tree needing leaves
ever since i was three

oh so now want you take me please
give me the love i need
i'll grow into a garden
ever flower full in bloom
you'll bee glad you took the time
for the love i've held inside
ever since i was three

David Humphrey:  guitar, vocals & overdubs
Roger Stephenson:  bass guitar
Connie Prater:  background vocals

What I remember: A song of insane sincerity. Maybe I was trying to bend light or something with my feelings. The entire process was patchwork of overdubs. I had met Connie Prater through Bill Thomson I believe. She had a wonderful voice and overdubbed some of the background vocals. Luckily, I found her name in my notes of the time. I'm certain that Connie has forgotten, the song and the session.
