the writer is with his friends
the ‘paper’ and the ‘pen’
  writer night lover day now

there’s fiction in my eyes
that amnesia realized
  writer night lover day now

the ink has made its mark but cannot dry.
“she looks up to the moon and starts to cry”
seems that making love is all I can do
to keep you happy

“never leave it up to blue”
if the "if" is up to you
  writer night lover day now

“common sense is all you need”
in the search for sanity
  writer night lover day now

walking with the need to share the miles
“then she looks up at the stars and starts to smile”
seems that making love is all I can do
to keep you happy

What I remember:  Larry Finch spent his days writing legal dialogue for the local "Decatur Daily" newspaper. His true desire was to write more than obituaries and bankruptcy filings. The trick was to keep his day job, his wife happy and work on his novel at night. There were numerous BS sessions in which the "Finch" would explain his writing ideas, plot and character development. Larry I hope you had more success with fiction than I did with songwriting. Here's the soundtrack when they turn your novel into a movie.
I recorded two acoustic guitars. Roger Stephenson and Tim McDaniel overdubbed the bass and drums. The song found comfort in suspended animation. It took me a year or so to complete this song. Larry thought I was writing a novel or something. It was always the lyrics.
