About my Web Pages

Yes, I know, I'm starting to get a little corny. But hey, if you can't be a little corny with a Web page called "Cyber Dad's Home Page" then your priorities just aren't in the right order.

The purpose of my Web pages is:

With time and work on my part, my pages will grow and change and perhaps, become of general interest to other web users.

These pages have been tested using Netscape 2.0b6, Microsoft Internet Explorer and GGN Works. It has only been tested at the SVGA settings 800x600 that my system is set to. I hope it looks OK on your system.

They were written so that they would take advantage of the Microsoft Internet Explorer's scrolling marquee and background music features. If you are using Microsoft's Internet Explorer you should hear music in the background if you have a sound card and you wait long enough for it to load . You should also see a scrolling marquee under my picture. This page has a fixed background with scrolling text when using Microsoft's Internet Explorer. The Internet Explorer features are not supported in any other browser that I am aware of.

I've also used tables on my photo gallery page. This may not be supported by some web browsers. I've found that the best way to learn HTML is to see what other pages are doing and learn their techniques.

I've recently discovered animated gif files These are supported by Netscape and Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0. I'll try not to get carried away with them. I haven't figured out ActiveX yet or Java or the other HTML 3.0 features supported Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0 but as I do they will be probably be used somewhere on one or more pages.

Why did I add Internet Link Exchange and the counter? They are just things I ran across that I wanted to play with. They seem like a good way of increasing exposure but it requires exposure first to do any good. It has inspired me to work on my pages and to give some thought to what kind of pages I can add that would be of more general interest. The problem is coming up with something someone else hasn't already done 10 time better.

I want to thank Kevin and Michael who taught me how to make this possible and Kevin for his additional effort to improve these pages and for the use of his MIDI compositions and arrangements that play as background music.

Marlene wanted me to add a page for her. I'm not sure why. I'm not sure she knows why. Maybe she just wants people in Cyberland to know she exists.
