Biography
I am an assistant scoutmaster with Troop 48 in Olympia, Washington. I am an Eagle Scout and a vigil member of OA. My vigil name is "Quiet Trader. I used to be a Fox. I am also the adult chapter advisor for the Squaxin Chapter, Nisqually Lodge Order of the Arrow. I am very actively involved with troop activities and order of the arrow at the chapter, lodge and section levels. I have two teenage boys that are also very active with Boy Scouts. Kevin, age 23 is an eagle scout, a vigil member of OA, and is currently attending Western Washington University. Kevin was the Section chief for W-1 B the past year and has been the Shows chairman for the past two years. Kevin was the lodge chief for the Nisqually Lodge for the past two years. Kevin has worked at our council cub scout camps for the past 11 years. Brian, 19, is a eagle scout, a vigil member of OA, and was Section W-1B Chief in Order of Arrow, Brain was the lodge chief for the Nisqually Lodge the past year. Brian has worked at our council cub scout camps for the past 8 years. Scouting has been a great experience for all of us. We are truly a boy scout family. The boys and I have attended NOAC (National Order of Arrow Conference) in 1994, 1996, and 2000, the National Jamboree in 1997, and Philmont in 1998 and 2001 and section W-1 B conclave in April 2000 in Alaska. We attend many local conclaves in our section each year as well as our local lodge ordeals, fellowships, and conclaves. . Kevan and Brian were on staff for NOAC 2000 and Brian was on staff for the 2001 National jamboree. Both Brian and Kevin went to Hawaii in September 2000 to be trainers in the National Leadership Training for OA. Brian weent to Flordia Sea Base for Train the Trainer for NLS in January 2001. Scouting has proven to be a wonderful way to see the country. Brian and Kevin have attended lodge fellowships in Alaska, Washington, Utah, Oregon and California the last couple of years. Brian and I will be at NOAC 2002. Hope to see you there. Brian is on Training staff and I will be with the Lodge. |
