This Auto Switch caused a lot of trouble the other day, and needs repair.
Step 1:
Selecting a proper work surface.
It is very important to have a stable work surface. For this project, a 16x8x4 inch concrete block should be sufficient.

Step 2:
Preparation.
Carefully position the auto switch to facilitate removal of the cover.

Step 3:
Cover removal.
Using the boom and dipper stick controls together it is possible to move the opening tool in a vertical motion, neatly removing the cover.

Step 4:
Inspection.
Now that the cover is removed, we can evaluate the situation. To the left of the center, there is a medium sized SMT (Surface Mount Technology) integrated circuit. Since most of the complicated circuit functions are contained in the SMT chip, it is the most likely component to have failed, since there is more to go wrong inside of it.

Step 5:
SMT removal procedure.
Special equipment and techniques are required for successful removal of SMT components. Again, careful positioning and use of force are required.
"
After removal of the SMT component, it can be seen that the selected work surface was inadequate. Fortunatly, the component was successfully removed.
