After Shots

Here are some shots of how dresser looked like when I finished it. The finish is eight hand rubbed coats of Danish Oil over a period of a week followed by a coat of a quality paste wax and vigorous buffing.

dresser_after1.jpg (48898 bytes) Finished view. I replaced all the hardware on this dresser with reproductions of the originals or choices made by the customer. This included the drawer pulls, mirror swivels, oval keyhole covers, and the wooden casters.
dresser_after2.jpg (25771 bytes) Closer view of the top of the dresser. All of the drawer guides and slides were rubbed down with paraffin wax to aid in easier sliding. The bottom edges of the drawer sides were waxed too.
dressertop_after1.jpg (24042 bytes) Even closer view of the top. That's some pretty figure!
dressertop_after2.jpg (30063 bytes) Notice the nice figured grain in the front edge of the top?
dresser_after3.jpg (35431 bytes) Close up of the cove molding.
dresser_after4.jpg (25777 bytes) New front wooden casters.
