Antique Cherry Tall Clock
Finish
The finish started with a few coats of Danish oil. After a week of drying, I applied several coats of de-waxed shellac. Finally, I applied a coat of paste wax and buffed.
The new door was made from curly cherry. To accent the figure, I used a brown mahogany dye, followed by a topcoat of shellac. I replaced the missing lock with a new one and added a new pull.
This shot of the base shows the finished work.
