Hutch Style Computer Desk

This is a computer desk that was built for a customer's 6 year old daughter. The desk top measures 28 inches high by 55 1/2 inches wide by 25 inches deep. Two drawers are included on the right. The top drawer can store supplies and paper. The bottom drawer is designed to house a printer. There is an adjustable CPU hanger mounted under the desk top for storing most tower style computer cases. This keeps it off the floor and the desk top but easily accessible. The keyboard and mouse go below the desk top on a pull-out tray that features ball bearing slides.

The hutch unit measures 44 inches tall by 53 1/2 inches wide by 10 inches deep. It has three adjustable shelves and a bulletin board below the shelf section. No back was attached to the left or right side shelf sections in case the owner wanted to place speakers or a desk lamp there.

This desk is made from red oak. It was finished with CrystaLac water based lacquer.  The final coat was rubbed with #0000 steel wool and paste wax and buffed.
