Building drawers is a fairly easy task because it's just like building a basic box. The addition of dovetail joints make it a little more difficult, but a good dovetail jig helps here. This was the first time I used 1/2 inch Baltic birch plywood in drawer construction. I found it easy to work with but didn't like the way the veneer splintered on the edges.

The tricky part here was that the dovetail joints fit together very tight. All my attempts to loosen the joint by adjusting the router bit setup failed. I resorted to paring down both sides of each tail with a sharp chisel before assembly.
