Assembling The Case

I assembled the right half of the base unit first. Biscuits were used to attach the ends of the drawer dividers to the case.
The left half of the base unit is
assembled.
Cutting a stopped rabbet in the rear edge of the dresser top for the case back panel.
| Another change I made from the original plan was the use of biscuits to attach the solid oak edge strips to conceal the plywood edges. Norm used a tongue and groove joint cut into all the parts. In a effort to save some time I decided to go with biscuit joinery which was faster and didn't sacrifice strength. |
