After sanding all the parts, I began the finishing process. I started with an initial coat of Watco Danish Oil in Dark Walnut color. This was followed by five hand-rubbed coats of Watco Natural Danish Oil. The clear oil helped make the color lighter. After the oil was dry I applied a coat of good paste wax and buffed it to a nice sheen.
