Cathy Tomlinson displays daylilies at her home in Downingtown, Pa (South of Lancaster).
This AHS display garden, on a suburban acre, is designed with meandering paths around beds of daylilies enhanced with various companion plantings.
The collection consists of more than a thousand cultivars, offering good examples of different types of daylilies from many hybridizers.
Included in the collection are introductions from her son, Joseph, who has been hybridizing since 1999 and is specializing in breeding double spiders.
Joseph's introductions can be viewed at www.sterrettgardens.com or home.comcast.net/~daylala/day.html.
This garden is also host to Region 3 hybridizer's seedlings for the 2007 competition.
