DoubleDay Farm

Located at the base of the picturesque Rocky Mountains of Utah, DoubleDay Farm Miniatures was started in 1992 with just a little show gelding for my boys to play with and enjoy. Not long afterwards I decided I wanted to play too and pursue these wonderful little horses. My husband and I have had horses all our lives, and were raising full size Paint and Quarter horses when we first got into the Mini's. We eventually sold all the big ones and went on to build our herd of tiny equine upwards of 20 head at times.

We have since reduced our herd, and like other breeders here in the state concentrate on Quality not Quantity. We have had just 2 or 3 foals born each year recently here on the farm. We are concentrating more on showing and promoting the results of our breeding program.

We have shown a number of our horses and achieved a total of 18 National Hall of Fame inductions to date, have several National Top Ten horses and have received numerous Champion All Star awards in our 19 years of showing.

I was also very proud and fortunate to achieve 2001 AMHR Performance Horse of the Year, and 2003/ 2005/ 2006/ 2007 AMHR Triple A Amateur Performance Champion as a team with "Lilliput Acres Golden Apache".
