D.B. Myrrha

D.B. Myrrha was born August 11, 1969, a Triple Leo. She was raised liberal Catholic, and although she spent many years questioning and developing her own personal philosophy, she remained fairly devout until she was in her late twenties. In 1996, by chance, she discovered Wicca, which seemed to afford all the benefits of her religion of origin (ritual, mystery, tradition, passion) without the rigidity of dogma she despised (and was finding increasingly more difficult to ignore.) After a short stint as a solitary eclectic (leaning towards the Celtic), D.B. met her first Traditional teacher, Dana Corby, the Senior High Priestess of the Mohsian tradition. At Midsummer, 1999, D.B. became a Mohsian dedicant. She was a member of Moontree Coven until 2001, reaching the level of Second Degree High Priestess. She was also a founding member of TERRA, the Tacoma Earth Religions Revival Association, where she did her duty in the public arena, before retreating entirely in 2000.

In 2001, D.B. left Moontree on good terms to study with her partner and to develop what would later become Cosán. She received her Cosán Third Degree/Second Admission in 2006.

Throughout her training, D.B. served as The Priestess of Tradcraft Circle, which later became Sidhe Morrigu Coven. In 2006, Sidhe Morrigu coven hived lovingly into two entities, known as the Northern Coven (IQC) and the Southern Coven (YDC). We remain closely affiliated, and celebrate the Wheel of the Year together.

On a personal level, D.B. is a teacher, a poet, an artist of sorts, an aromatherapist, a haphazard gardener, an avid LJ blogger , and a person of varied (dare I say “eclectic?”) tastes. Her matron goddess is Brighid, although she also works with others in the Clan, as need be. She is currently interested in Druidry, and is a divination junkie. “Really,” she says, “there’s no such thing as too many tarot decks…I can stop any time I want to!”

T.M. Branwynn

Born September 12, 1967, T.M. (Trystn) Branwynn is a Virgo with Gemini rising and a Capricorn Moon. He is stubborn, exacting, opinionated and verbose, and we like him that way.

Raised in the Midwest, Trystn’s entry to the Craft, at the age of 17, was through the study of Ceremonial Magick. This coincided with his service in the U.S. Marine Corps. After traveling the globe, he ended up in California, where, disillusioned with Ceremonial Craft, he met a young woman in a shop. This woman would change his life. His initial flirtation turned into coffee, and that coffee turned into an invitation to her Circle. This young woman was The Priestess of a very private group of Witches. Therein, Trystn was trained and Initiated as a Witch and Priest. Due to life’s twists and turns, Trystn traveled the world some more, winding up in Washington State. With his Priestess’s blessing, he received his Third Degree in September 2001, and his full Second Admission when he initiated his partner, D.B., in 2006.

The development of Cosán is due largely to Trystn’s gifts for poetic and mythic interpretation and development. A true scholar of the Craft, he has searched our roots, and has helped us as a group discover and develop an internally consistent pathway to the Mysteries. He and D.B. together have interwoven the threads of their previous training, leaning especially towards the offerings of Robert Cochrane/Clan of Tubal Cain, 1734, Ross Nichols/OBOD, Plant Bran, and others in the Traditional Witchcraft milieu, to create beautiful, symbolically and poetically vibrant rituals, which are both mirthful and reverent.

Personally, Trystn is a night-shift worker, an avid outdoorsman, an opinionated arguer, a beer aficionado, a classically trained, hard-rockin’ musician, a poet, a diviner, an avid reader, and a champion for Traditional Craft. He is a wicked satirist, and an avowed Fascist Meanie Poo-Poo Head. His matron eats Fluff-Bunnies for breakfast and spits out their bones. He is also affectionate and loyal, with a generous heart. “Humph!” He says grouchily, and hugs you.
