Nappa is very arrogant and isn't very skill in fighting. All he has is a big power level well in the saiyan saga anyway. After being train by North Kaio Sama (King Kai) Goku is much stronger then Nappa. And Goku plays around him and defeats him. Vegeta then kills him for failing.
