Kathy Clark

Kathy Clark

Back Pages is Kathy's first band, which should inspire all of us who've ever thought it was too late to live a dream. She got her first singing experience at Catholic girls school in Santa Fe, where she climbed the Miracle Staircase daily to sing in the choir.

Kathy plays a variety of percussion instruments, as well as harmonica and keyboards.

Dean Clark

Dean Clark

Dean started playing guitar in 1964, shortly after hearing the Beatles on the radio. Through the seventies he played professionally in a number of bands, including the locally-popular Moonrise and Likely Storey. In 1981 he gave up performing and sold all his equipment in order to attend college and start a family. In 1998 he took up guitar again to help found Back Pages.

Dean plays a Gibson Les Paul Custom Shop Standard, G&L Legacy Stratocaster-style; and Seagull C6 acoustic guitar; through a modified Fender Hot Rod Deluxe amp. Keyboard is a Roland RS-9. Effects include a Hughes & Kettner Rotosphere, Line 6 delay, and Boss OD-3 and CS-3 pedals.

Tim Meehan

Tim Meehan

Tim also began playing and performing in the sixties. After a stint in the Navy, Tim spent about fifteen years as a player, singer and songwriter as a solo artist and in various bands in Albuquerque, Denver and San Francisco. In the late seventies and early eighties he was lead singer in the local bands Moonrise and Cody. Tim put music aside in the mid-80s. He picked up the bass again in 1998 to help found Back Pages.

Tim plays a Washburn bass through a Gallien-Krueger amp.

Bob Aitchison

Doug Bond

Bob's been drumming for 36 years, including stints with Albuquerque bands Hot Cherry, Big Blonde, and  8-Track.

Bob plays a black diamond Ludwig set with Zildjian cymbals.

Larry Ashwood

Larry's been playing guitar for many years. He was looking for a good classic rock band for listening and dancing when he heard Back Pages at O'Niell's Uptown and decided he'd just as soon be on the stage as on the dance floor.

Larry plays a vintage Gibson 325 through a Carvin amp.
