  • CHIT 2009 ANNUAL YARD SALE
    • The annual yard sale to benefit CHIT 2009 is scheduled for Saturday, September 12th from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.
    • The sale will take place in the covered area outside of JR's Bar and Grill, located at the corner of 17th and Church Streets in Washington, DC.
    • As in the past, we are accepting donations for the yard sale.
    • Emphasis is placed on household items, electronics, tapes, CD's, DVD's, books, artwork and basic bric-a-brac type items. We do appreciate all of your donations, but please make certain that they are reasonably clean and definitely in working order. Clothing items, including shoes, are acceptable, but generally do not sell as well as the other items mentioned. In the coming days, we will be working on means for collection of donations at the various bowling leagues. This may not always be possible, however.
    • If at all possible, we ask if you can drop off your donations at JR's on the morning of the 12th. If possible, all donations should be marked with a tag, sticker, etc. to indicate a reasonable price for sale. If you have donations which you are unable to bring, or that are not being collected at your league site, please contact Bob Fontaine via e-mail at yankeeboy@rcn.com or cell phone at 301/717-2501. If you would like to volunteer to work at the sale, please contact Bob at either of the above listings.
    • We can also use additional folding tables for display of donated items. Let me know if you have any available. If you don't have anything to donate, please come out and support us anyway. Maybe you'll find that rare item that you've been looking for or just chat with your friends. So, remember to put Saturday morning, September 12th on your calendars, be sure to let me know if you have any donations and come out and share the morning with us. Thank you.
