Durham Unitarian Universalist Fellowship
DUUF Giving Circle Program

Purpose:
To provide a structure to organize individual and communal giving to local charitable, service, and other organizations that benefit the Seacoast community.

Membership:
DUUF members and friends who make a suggested donation of $100 or more become members of the DUUF Giving Circle.

Financial Management:
The fund will be administered by the treasurer of DUUF. Donations will be accepted to the fund. The Board may also designate additional funds from the Social Action or other accounts of the DUUF to add to the donations made by individual members or friends.

Process:
The Social Action chair will organize a series of discussions after the Sunday service to review potential recipients of the Giving Circle Fund. Members of the Giving Circle will be invited to participate in these discussions, to nominate potential recipients, and to vote on the donations made from the fund. The fund will be expended by the end of each fiscal year. These discussions will occur in the fall and then again during the Spring.
