What a miraculous story and the documentation is amazing. Keep up the good work.
Welcome to my "Judge Central Web Site".
This web site was developed so I could share the restoration progress of my 1969 Pontiac GTO "Judge" with friends and relatives. In May of 1969 I purchased this GTO from Briggs Motor Sales in Linton IN a couple weeks after graduating from Bloomfield High School. Later, in March of 1971 I reluctantly had to trade it in for a more affordable car due to the high insurance premiums. The cost of keeping it on the road was more than I could bare at age 19. I lost track of it several years later and while searching for it found out in 1993 it had been setting in a salvage yard in Box Elder SD and purchased by a young man in Sturgis SD in 1978. Ten years later, in March of 2003 I was finally able to buy my original Judge back. This is a true documented story of the "search", "find" and "restoration" of my original 1969 GTO Palladium Silver Judge.
The photo below is of my Judge finally arriving back home on March 30, 2003. Helping unload were Joe Chipman, Arnie Robinson, Al Toon, Chris Howell, and Silver Freeman.
Helping push the Judge body shell down the lane were Chris Howell, Al Toon, Silver Freeman, and myself trying to steer it to it's new stall in the shop. (Mar 30, 2003)
Here below is a photo Carla took of the Judge still sitting on the trailer after the long trip from Maple Lake Minnesota. We arrived home at around 4:30 AM. (Mar 30, 2003)
Below is a photo taken by a good friend of mine at the Indy GTO Chapter, John Jump. This was the first event my Judge was entered in after it was restored just a couple months before. This is one of my favorite photos.
