 19th Century French Champagne Tap

Lovely figural dolpin handled Champagne tap finished in nickel plate over brass. Fully functioning spigot, the handle of which is a figural fish tail. The spout is the Dolphin's mouth. See larger photo for details. Unmarked. Length 5 5/8 inches. Minor loss of plating, showing a bit of the brass. Pretty piece with nice detailing. Cond. 9/10

Decorated with a lovely foliate design, the silver plated roundlet is most likely English. The fluted worm is in very good condition. The case when closed is 3.25 inches. In great working order. Condition overall 9/10

An elusive American patent corkscrew by John Murphy, son of New England corkscrew maker Robert Murphy. The bell features a cap-lifter on its side. The shank is marked 'PAT APR. 23 '01 R. MURPHY'. Length 5.5 inches. Some loss of nickel plating. Good worm. Rare. Condition 8.5/10

 Mother of Pearl Handled German Henckels Knife

Early 20th C Gentleman's knife with pearl scales. Pearl has high lustre with no cracks or damage. Nickle plated bolsters, brass pads. 3 blades, nail file, spear, scissors, Champagne blade & corkscrew. Henckels logo on some of the tangs. Length 3.25 inches when closed. Beautiful knife. Condition 9/10

 American 'Post Prohibition' Figural 'OLD SNIFTER' Corkscrew

Poking fun at Senator Volstead, this figural corkscrew was created by 'Demley' in the 1930's. The corkscrew is hidden in a cavity in the rear of his pants, when not in use, and swings out & away from the body for use. Marked 'OLD SNIFTER' & 'Demley' on the base. His nose & cravat form a cap-lifter. Small piece missing from the lower left pants leg (see larger photo), but otherwise in nice condition. Stands 6.75 inches tall. Condition 7.5/10.

 Davis' 1891 U.S. Patent Waiter's Corkscrew

David Davis' U.S. patent # 455,826 marked "THE DAVIS CORK SCREW PAT. JULY 14, 1891". 4 1/8 inches when closed. See O'Leary's book, page 83. Some surface rust & corrosion, but overall condition 8/10.

 Erik Nylin's 1909 U.S. Patent Combinatin Tool w/Corkscrew

The patent for Nylin's combination tool claimed it to have 20 functions - they certainly appears to be at least that. This is one of two versions known to exist, & this example is in very nice condition with almost all of its original black paint intact. Measures nearly 7.5 inches from end to end. Fairly scarce. Condition 9/10.
