Effective non-abrasive track cleaner for HO scale track including Märklin 3 rail track.
The trick to this simple tool is in the precision machining so that it fits perfectly onto the rails, without touching the ballast or railway ties. It is easy to slide along and is guided along the rails just like a train.
This means that if you can reach your track you can clean it easily, even if you cannot actually see the track!
The cleaner has 2 long sides for straight track and 2 short sides for cleaning curves. It is not designed for cleaning turnouts.
The cleaner can be used dry or you can add your favorite rail cleaning fluid directly onto it.
You will see the black dirt collecting on the Crud-B-Gone track cleaner and you can scrape it off the cleaner with a screwdriver.

A: Simply cut it in half.

A: It is wooden but it has been carefully precision machined to have just the right grooves to clean your track.
