| Connecticut has 21 standing Lighthouses. Fifteen Lighthouses are best viewed by boat*, Bridgeport Harbor Light was destroyed by fire, and only five Lighthouses are easily accessible to visit by car: |
Stonington Old Lighthouse Museum is open from May to November.
5.7 miles Driving Distance to:
Mystic Seaport Lighthouse, replica of the Brant Point Light, Nantucket, is a Maritime museum exhibit with open Grounds and closed Tower.
11 miles Driving Distance to:
Avery Point ceremonial Lighthouse, Grounds are open, and the Tower is closed.
44 miles Driving Distance to:
Five Mile Point (Old New Haven) Light Grounds are open daily with occasional Tower Tours.
26 miles Driving Distance to:
Black Rock Harbor (Fayerweather Island) Light Grounds open, Tower closed.
Note: Driving Distance is based upon the fastest route using Rand McNally Mapping Software. *A private pleasure craft or private charter is necessary to view eight Lighthouses.

New London Ledge Light - Boat to Tower Tours
Sheffield Island (Norwalk) Light - Ferry to Tower Tours, Grounds open
And, five Lighthouses can be viewed from a Lighthouse Cruise.
