First, Click on any preview image to view full size wallpaper photo and read the instructions for your PC and System Software below:


Windows XP and 2000

From Your Browser:   Right click on the wallpaper image and select “Save Background As” (Internet Explorer 5.5 and 6) or “Set as Background” (Internet Explorer) or “Set as Wallpaper” (Netscape) depending on your browser.   The Lighthouse wallpaper should appear as the new background of the desktop.   If not, press F5 to refresh the desktop screen.

From Your Hard Drive:  Right click on the wallpaper image and select “Set as Desktop Background.”

To adjust or remove the image: From the Start menu go to Control Panel/Display and select the Desktop tab.

Windows 95 and 98

Internet Explorer:   Right click on the wallpaper image, and select “Set as Wallpaper.”  This will create a file in your \windows directory called \windows\Internet Explorer Wallpaper.bmp - For safekeeping, copy this file anywhere in “Your Files” folder.

Netscape.   Right click on the wallpaper image, and select “Set as Wallpaper.”  This will create a file in your \windows directory called \windows\Netscape Wallpaper.bmp - For safekeeping, copy this file anywhere in “Your Files” folder.

To adjust or remove the image: From the Start menu go to Settings/Active Desktop/Customize my Desktop and select the Background tab.

 

Mac OS X

Click and hold (one-button mouse) or right-click (two-button mouse) the image and select “Download Image to Disk” option.  Save the image to the picture folder you’ve chosen in the Desktop Preference Panel (System Preferences).  Open the Desktop Preference Panel and navigate to the picture under the Collection drop-down menu.

Mac OS 9

Click and hold the image and select “Download Image to Disk” option (Internet Explorer) or “Save this Image as” option (Netscape).  Save the image to the Desktop or any folder.  Open the Apple menu, select the “Control Panel” followed by “Appearance.” From the six tabbed sections in the “Appearance” window select “Desktop.” Drag the image from your desktop/folder to the desktop pictures preview window and Click “Set Desktop.”
