SGT EDWARD SMITH CO F 395 MY DAD
My dad was in the 99th and spoke the terrible battles. He wa very proud to serve. He had 5 batte stars, unit citation and the Belgian Fourregere. His name was Sgt. Howard Q. Wade he passed away on March 15th 1995 but I continue to search about this greatest generation.
My father, Corp. Richard Roberts passed on March 24th 2007. He participated in the Battle of the Bulge, Crossing the Rhine, and the Ruhr Pocket.he was a machine gunner and was re-assigned as an orderly for General Black. I miss him and his stories of this magnificent Division.
My father was in the 99th artillery. He never spoke much about the war, but I appreciate this information.
My father is in ill health & never much spoke of the war, other than a man has to do what a man has to do. he thought highly of the men he served with, i was wondering if anybody would know how i could get more info. on my dad Edward J Walsh 246 combat engineers I can be reached @ brianshomes@hotmail.com Thanks to all that served & will serve.
