     So, what does it take to be an artist?

 

 It takes vision, understanding, endurance and skill:

new vision

Because:

Art is what you do with craft.

Art is anything artificial made by man (male or female).

Art is a way of being.

Art is having sex with a differrent medium.

 

Mind you: What you think you see is certainly not what I had planned to show, so, enjoy the stimulation.

I'll be successful if I have triggered an new thought in your mind.

 

 

 

How long did this take?

You ask.

Well,

from the development of the skill,

the developing of the idea,

the trial and error periods,

to the many compositional drawings;

not to mention the vast quantities of coffee.

And then you still have to carry it out!

So, it all comes back to a phrase I coined many years ago:


“It took thirty years and fifteen minutes”.
