Loved his old dog, part greyhound.
Always wore a suit with a buttonhole (flower).
Got his son-in-law, Harry Miles, his job at the Water Works when he came out of the Royal Navy.
He was very strict with the children and grandchildren. His grandchildren had to pass inspection at his house before going on to the Sunday School.
Very contented man. He enjoyed his retirement.
A pipe smoker.
