1. Andrew Hose (Weaver) was born around the 1790s in Dalrymple? and married on the 22nd of November 1819 in Dalrymple to Isabella Duff.  Listed in, [Scotland, 1825] Pigot & Co.'s New Commercial Directory of Scotland, for 1825-6.  Andrew Hose, 1801-1825, Dalrymple, Weaver.
2. John Hose (There is no proof yet that John is Andrew's brother.  He is included here until it is proven one way or another.) was christened on the 12th of May 1799 in Auchinleck and married on the 11th of January 1828 in Dalrymple to Janet Blane.    Janet Blain may have been christened in 1795 in Dalmellington, the daughter of Stewart Blain.  Should check the 1851 Dalmellington census for age and place of birth for both John and Janet.
• John Hose was born on the 22nd of June 1828 in Dalmellington, Ayrshire.  John may have married a Jean Campbell in Dalrymple in 1856.
• James Hose was christened on the 24th of October 1830 in Dalmellington. 
• Robert Hose (Carter) was born on the 28th of May 1833 in Craigie and married on the 28th of April 1863 in Bothwell, Lanark  to Catherine Ferguson.  Catherine was born in 1840 in Coatbridge, Lanarkshire, and died in 1899.
• John Hose was born on the 24th of June 1863 in Bothwell, Lanark and married on the 30th of November 1890 at St. Peter's Church, Gympie, Queensland, Australia to Mary Ann Lane.  John and Mary emigrated to Australia in 1882 where they had 11 children.
• Robert Hose was born on the 20th of April 1866 in Kilwinning, Ayrshire and married on the 4th of December 1886 in Gympie, Queensland, Australia to Flora Stuart MacDonald.  Flora was born in 1870 in Kilkivan, Queensland to Stuart Classford MacDonald and Margaret MacNamara.
• Robert MacDonald Hose was born on the 23rd of February 1888 in Gympie, Queensland, Australia.
• Janet Hose was born on the 23rd of May 1868 in New Cumnock, Ayrshire.
• Jane "Jean" Smith Hose (twin) (Domestic Servant) was born on the 12th of March 1870 in New Cumnock, and married on the 6th of October 1898 in New Cumnock to James Black (Police Constable) of New Cumnock.  "They moved to 34 Irvine St, Edghill, Liverpool, and later to 73 Breckfield Road South, Everton.  Jane died on the 4th of January 1940 and is buried in Anfield Cemetery, Liverpool, section General 12, grave 749, with her husband and daughter Katherine", Jeff Holme.

  • Isabella Black was born in 1897.
  • Katherine Ferguson Black was born on the 18th of August 1899 and died on the 29th of August 1980.

  • George Black was born on the 12th of May 1909 and married on the 7th of July 1934 to Alice Woods.  They had two daughters.  George died on the 29th of May 1988.
• Elizabeth Hose (twin) was born on the 12th of March 1870 in New Cumnock.  
• Mathew Hose was born on the 8th of July 1872 in New Cumnock.
• William Hose was born on the 1st of October 1874 in New Cumnock.

• Margaret Hose was christened on the 30th of June 1835 in Dalmellington and married on the 25th of January 1856 in Dalrymple to James Dick.

• Marion Hose Dick was born on the 5th of October 1861 in Straiton.
• Janet Dick was born on the 21st of April 1864 in Maybole, Ayrshire.

• Agnes Dick was born on the 28th of June 1869 in Kirkoswald, Ayrshire.

• William Scott was born on the 30th of January 1863 in Straiton.
• James Dick Scott was born on the 19th of March 1865 in Straiton.
• Janet Blane Scott was born on the 10th of June 1867 in Dalmellington, Ayrshire.
• William Scott was born on the 22nd of August 1869 in Dalmellington.
