  1. William Duff was born on the 31st of May and christened on the 7th of June 1786 in Rogertown, Dalrymple and married on the 1st of March 1811 in Dalrymple to Elisabeth Crooks. "May 31st, 1786... William Duff, son born to Thomas Duff and Isabel Mickle."  William was an innkeeper. Elisabeth was born on the 17th of March 1790 in Kilmarnock to John Crooks and Margaret Fraser.
  2. Jean Duff (Pirn Filler) was christened on the 26th of June 1788 in Rodgertown, Dalrymple and married on the 31st of August 1810 in Dalrymple to William Bone.  "June 26th ... Jean Duff, daughter to Thomas Duff and Isabell Muckle his wife, in Rogerstown."
    Jean died of consumption on the 27th of April or the 9th of July 1843 in Dalrymple.  "July 9th ... Jane Duff or Bone in Dalrymple, Died of Consumption. She was Buried in Dalrymple Churchyard."  
    William is believed to have died in September 1833 of consumption. His parents were William Bone and Janet Muir who were married in Dalrymple on the 24th of June 1784 and died in 1848 and 1842 in Dalrymple at ages 85 and 75.  "March 25th, 1842 ... Janet Muir or Bone, age 75, in Dalrymple, Died of Decay of Nature. She was Buried in Dalrymple Churchyard."  "April 25th, 1848 ... William Bone, age 86, in Dalrymple, Died of Decay of Nature. He was Buried in Dalrymple Churchyard."
  3. Janet Duff was christened on the 28th of February 1791 in Hillhead, Dalrymple and married on the 2nd of September 1814 in Dalrymple to James Gemmel.  "February 28h ... Janet Duff, daughter to Thomas Duff and Isabell Muckle his spouse, in Hillhead."
  4. Thomas Duff was christened on the 9th of June 1793 in Dalrymple.  "June 9th ... Thomas Duff, son bap. to Thomas Duff and ........ ........ .".
  5. Margret Henderson Duff was christened on the 17th of April 1796 in Dalrymple and married on the 17th of August 1830 in Dalrymple to James McMicken.  "April 17th ... Margaret Henderson Duff, daughter bap. to Thomas Duff and Isabel Muckle."  Margaret lived in Coylton at the time of her marriage in 1830.  "December 1st, 1835 ... James McMiken in Dalrymple, Drowned in the River Ayr. He was Buried in Dalrymple Churchyard."  Not certain if this is our James.
  6. Isabella Duff was born in 1797/98 in Dalrymple and married on the 22nd of November 1819 in Dalrymple to Andrew Hose.
  7. Mary Duff was born on the 18th and christened on the 19th of June 1801 in the Village, Dalrymple and married on the 2nd of March 1832 in Dalrymple to William McDonald.  "June 18th ... Mary Duff, daughter born to Thomas Duff and Isabell Muckle, in the Village."
  8. Sarah Duff was born on the 27th and christened on the 29th of January 1804 in the Village, Dalrymple and married in 1832 in New Cumnock to William Howart McCartney.  "January 27th ... Sarah Duff, daughter born to Thomas Duff and Isabell Muckle, in the Village."  William was born on the 14th of November 1788 in New Cumnock and died on the 22nd of May 1860 in New Cumnock.
  9. John Duff (Agricultural Labourer) was born on the 28th of April and christened on the 3rd of May 1807 in the Village, Dalrymple and married on the 9th of December 1831 in Dalrymple to Janet Wilson.  "April 28th ... John Duff, son born to Thomas Duff and Isabel Muckle, in the Village."  Janet was born in Edinburgh around 1810/11, lived in Kirkmichael at the time of her marriage in 1831 and died on the 11th of April 1887 in Patna, Straiton. John died on the 18th of March 1888 in Patna, Straiton.  In the 1841 census in Straiton, their name is given as McDuff.
