Note:  There is a farm called Chippermore near Mochrum, Wigtownshire.

From Sandra Geddes, "I have also had contact with a Bill HERON back in Nov who is also researching the HERON family. Briefly this is what he had to say. "Heron's only came to Chippermore at 6 Sep 1769 when William Heron had sasine (Scots Law giving possession of the feudal property). that followed on the 2 Jun 1773 when Thomas Heron had Sasine held until 19 Aug 1807. After this time the Herons had no further association to his knowledge. This could mean John Heron born 1760 approx could be the son of Thomas and Grandson of William."
