"James Mist was quite a well known character in Havant.
He started an independent church [Brethren meeting] at the
British Legion Hall which I remember attending on many
occasions. With the passage of time and the death of my
Grandfather, this church ceased. He is remembered with much
affection by many people in the Havant area as a preacher of
God's word, in particular having helped organise a Dick Saunders
Tent Campaign during which many people especially in the Leigh
Park area became Christians. For about Ten years He and my
parents with others ran a Sunday school at Trosnant School
because the numbers were so great! Unheard of nowadays.
Granny Mist [EA Jennings] continued to live in West Street and
then moved to Knox Rd to live with my G Aunt Olive
[spinster]. Both Sydney and his son James worked for
Stents the glove and leather goods manufacturers.",

1841 Census - Bedhampton, Havant, Hampshire.
John King is now living with his third wife. There appears to be
another King family living in the same house. Elizabeth (35) is Elizabeth
Shears, the widow of Abraham King. Abraham and Elizabeth were married in
Havant on the 16th of December 1822. Not sure what the relationship
between the two Kings is
though. Probably Abraham was John's cousin, the son of John's uncle James
King. Abraham was christened on the 8th of March 1801 in Bedhampton to
James and Uretta King. Abraham died in 1846 in Havant. Uretta died
in 1844 in Havant.
