A Walter Lile age 36 is mentioned in a list of Newhaven fishermen in the Nov 18th 1796 issue of the Edinburgh Advertiser.

Walter Lyalls Newhaven & Eliz. Wilson there, after due proclamations, were Married, December eighth, by Dr. Johnston.
