Isaac Monroe Aldrich, aged 85 years, 7 months, and 20 days, was born in
the Town of Marcellon, Columbia County, January 29, 1851, son of Lorenza
and Miami Aldrich.
On November 18, 1877 he was united in marriage to Miss Caroline Ada
Dustin and to this happy union eleven children were born. Three preceded
their father to the Land Beyond. Those left to mourn the loss of loving
father are: his wife, Caroline Aldrich and eight children, Mrs. Ella
McFarland of Detroit, Mich., Mrs. Myrtle Johnson of Duluth, Minn., Mrs
Miami Koeppe of Pardeeville, Mrs. Mable Beahm of Pardeeville, Mrs. Iona
Beier of Kingston, Mrs Clara Holloway of Dalton, Mr. Ray Aldrich of
Dalton and Mr. Harold Aldrich of Kingston. Others surviving him are: one
sister, Mrs, Jane Chapman of New Richmond, Wis, three half brothers:
Carrol Aldrich of Auburndale, Myron Aldrich of Madison and Frank Aldrich
of Milwaukee, also a large number of grand children and great
grandchildren and a host of friends and neighbors.
Mr Aldrich accepted Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized
on Sept. 28, 1906 and received into the North Scott Baptist church where
he had kept his membership ever since.
Mr. Aldrich was a kind and loving parent and a much loved neighbor,
and in his last sickness was true to that finer characteristic of being
patient and was just waiting for the Lord. His last testimony was that
he was ready for the call and did not want anyone to worry about him
because he was not afraid but ready for the waters of the Jordon to be
opened so he might pass over and meet his Lord on the other side where he
would be waiting for all the loved ones that are there.
Funeral services were held from the Dalton Congregational chruch
Monday afternoon, with burial in the Greenwood cemetery.
