Myron Bagley Capron died on 22 March 1921 at age 54 in Marshalltown, Marshall, Iowa.1 He obituary reads " Capron Funeral Thursday. Funeral services for Myron B. Capron, former well-known stock breeder and farmer of near Melbourne, who died suddenly of heart disease at his rooms at the P. W. Burke home, 104 South Third Avenue, at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon, will be held from the Methodist Church at Melbourne at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon. Burial will be in the *Capron Cemetery near Melbourne. The church will be open at 1:30. Reared on the farm near Melbourne, Mr. Capron became one of the best known stock breeders and farmers of the southwestern part of the county. He specialized in pure bred cattle. He was born at Kingsville, Ashtabula County, Ohio, Dec. 16, 1866. His father, G. F. Capron, came to this county when Mr. Capron was young and settled in Washington Township where the son grew up and continued to live until two years ago. Mr. Capron was married three times. His first wife was Miss Agnes Meade** whom he took as his wife Nov. 25, 1889. To them were born three children all of whom are living. They are Mrs. Mabel Nason, of Melbourne, and Dwight and Lyle Capron. Mrs. Capron died Nov. 11, 1904. The second Mrs. Capron was Miss Bertha Wyatt. She was married to Mr. Capron June 21, 1905, and died May 13, 1917. The third wife, who survives Mr. Capron, was Mrs. Fannie Hessenius Wessels. She was married in this city, Oct 6, 1920. Mr. Capron sold the farm two years ago and has been living in this city since then. He was the last surviving member of his family; a brother, John G. Capron, having died at St. Louis April 5, 1918. Mrs. Nannie A. Capron, of this city, was the stepmother of Mr. Capron.

Nason, Denison; James (Doris) Helmer, Arlington Heights, Illn., Mrs. Clarence (Jane Agnes) Yettke, Chesterfield, Mo. and Vernon A. Nason and C. Carroll Nason, both of Marshalltown. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild and a brother, Dwight Kapron, of Ash Flat, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons and one brother. Mrs. Nason was reared and educated in Marshalltown and was graduated from the Melbourne High School. She and her husband farmed in Melbourne until 1941, and then farmed near Laurel until moving to Marshalltown in 1943. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Button Club.
