     Alice L. Paradee was born on 8 January 1913 in Columbus, Cherokee, Kansas.¹ She married Virgil E. Capron on 7 June 1937 in Drumright, Creek, Oklahoma.¹ Alice L. Paradee died on 26 March 2000 at age 87 in St. John's Regional Medical Center, Joplin, Jasper, Missouri.¹ She's obituary reads " Alice L. Capron, 87, of rural Columbus, died at 6:20 p.m. Sunday, March 26, 2000, at St. John's Regional Medical Center of Joplin, Mo. after an illness.

She was born Jan. 8, 1913, near Columbus, to Herbert H. and Fannie Kansas Heistand Paradee. She attended rural schools near Columbus and graduated from Columbus High School in 1932. She also attended Pittsburg State University, where she received her teaching certificate.

She married Virgil E. Capron on June 7, 1937, at Drumwright, Okla. He preceded her in death on Sept. 12, 1990.

She taught at rural Columbus schools and also was a nurses assistant at Maude Norton Hospital for 10 years.

She was a member of the Bethlehem Methodist Church of rural Columbus and the Purcell Lodge No. 110 Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include three sons, Dr. Virgil Jack Capron, of Webb City, Mo., Dr. Kenneth M. Capron, of Tulsa, Okla., and Dr. Evan D. Capron, of Columbus; two brothers, Robert "Bob" Paradee, of Salem, Ill., and Dr. David P. Paradee, of Hustisford, Wisc; three sisters, Olive Emerson, of Columbus, Bonnie Ligon, of rural Columbus, and Fern Westfall, of Joplin, Mo; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Chester Paradee; two sisters, Pansy Fry, and an infant sister; and twin granddaughters, Jennifer Ann and Penny Lorraine." She was buried in Park Cemetery, Columbus, Cherokee, Kansas.¹

     Virgil Jack Capron is the son of Virgil E. Capron and Alice L. Paradee.¹
