     Mary Frances Kimball was born on 27 June 1819 in Preston, New London, Connecticut. She was the daughter of Elisha Kimball, Jr. and Lucy Lord Lathrop. Mary Frances Kimball married Calvin DeWolf on 9 June 1841 in Chicago, Cook, Illinois. Mary Frances Kimball died on 5 March 1909 at age 89 in Chicago, Cook, Illinois.

     Anna Spaulding DeWolf was born on 17 May 1846 in Chicago, Cook, Illinois. She was the daughter of Calvin DeWolf and Mary Frances Kimball. Anna Spaulding DeWolf died on 27 September 1928 at age 82 in Pasadena, Los Angeles, California.

     Calvin DeWolf was born on 18 February 1815 in Braintrim, Luzerne, Pennsylvania. He married Mary Frances Kimball, daughter of Elisha Kimball, Jr. and Lucy Lord Lathrop, on 9 June 1841 in Chicago, Cook, Illinois. Calvin DeWolf died on 28 November 1899 at age 84 in Chicago, Cook, Illinois.

Leroy Dewolf Kellogg married Ellen Neel on 2 July 1901 in Chicago, Cook, Illinois.¹ Leroy Dewolf Kellogg married Ellen Neel on 23 July 1901 in Chicago, Cook, Illinois.      Leroy Dewolf Kellogg was graduated in 1898 at Yale University, New Haven, New Haven, Connecticut. He was graduated in 1899 at Yale Law School, New Haven, New Haven, Connecticut. He was a Secretary/Treasurer Kellogg Switchboard & Supply Company between 1900 and 1904. He was a Patent Attorney for Kellogg Switchboard & Supply Company between 1904 and 1909. He was a President of Kellogg Switchboard & Supply Company in 1909 at Chicago, Cook, Illinois.

     Milo Gifford Kellogg was born on 14 April 1849 in Rodman, Jefferson, New York. He married Mary Frances DeWolf, daughter of Calvin DeWolf and Mary Frances Kimball, on 11 March 1873 in Chicago, Cook, Illinois. Milo Gifford Kellogg died on 26 September 1909 at age 60 in Chicago, Cook, Illinois.
     

     Biographical Notes for Milo Gifford Kellogg: BIOGRAPHY: Milo was born 14 APR 1849 (~IBook of Chicagoans~i) or 1847 at Rodman Twp., Jefferson Co., New York State.(~IKellogg~i) He was raised on the family farm a mile or two south of Adams, Jefferson Co., New York, until his father moved into town and started selling insurance.
There Milo graduated from the Hungerford Collegiate Institute, after which he attended Rochester (N.Y.) University, taking an M.S.
in Mathematics in 1870. His studies included practical and theoretical work in electricity.
Soon after graduating, Milo moved to Chicago and took a position as bookkeeper with "Gray & Barton". BARTON was a Rodman, New York, native who entered the business with Gray on a loan from Milo's father, and Milo's positio was in part-payment of the loan.
Between 1871 and 1881, while Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone, Gray & Barton became "Western Electrical Manufacturing Co." They supplied telegraphs and telegraph switchboards to the Western Union Telegraph Company. A telephones began to supplement and later to replace the telegraph, the company shortened its name to "Western Electric" and adapted its products to the telephone. Milo rose to be General Manager. He was very active in promoting sales to the burgeoning telephone industry in both America and Europe and he personally invested heavily in Bell Telephone Co. He was deeply involved with the growth of telephone service, being president of a number of startup companies in Illinois, Wisconsin, Kentucky, and Tennessee. He was also Presiden of Central Union Telephone Co. which covered most of Ohio, Indiana and Illinois
The strain of this activity and his wife's illness resulted in his nervous breakdown in 1889. Milo took his family and went to Europe on an indefinite leave of absence, where they sojourned for two years. Effectively, that seems t have been his retirement from Western Electric.
After his return, in 1897 Milo founded the Kellogg Switchboard & Supply Company, which operated in intense competition with Bell Telephone and with Western Electric for a quarter-century or more.
Milo died 26 SEP 1909 at Chicago, Cook Co., Ill.
Milo met Mary Frances DEWOLF some time before the Great Chicago Fire.
They attended church or a prayer meeting together the night of the fire and on the way home remarked on the glow in the sky. They were married 11 MAR 1871 at Chicago, Cook Co., Ill., and built a fine big house on 47th Street in Chicago, where their three children were born.
