A pretty church wedding took place at 7:30 O'clock last evening. The contracting parties were Miss Elvilia Rose Wing, daughter of Mrs. Mary Wing, and Mr. J. Adam Smith of Chicago. Rev. Mr. Sage officiated. The bride looked charming in a white resida silk, with embroidered mousseline de-sole bodice, with trimmings of white satin ribbon. She carried white bride roses and maidenhair ferns. She was attended by Miss Edith E. Gaylor, who was attired in white dotted swiss, with satin ribbon trimmings and carried a bouquet of pink roses. The best man was Mr. Henry McClure.
After the ceremony a reception was given to the immediate friends and relatives at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Smith, Sr. Mr. and Mrs. Smith will be home after Sept 1 at No. 4001 Drexel Boulevard, Chicago.1

For 10 years Mr. Smith was manager of the Auditorium Garage and previously he was manager and vice-president of the Euclid Square Garage. A native of Rockford, Conn., he came to Cleveland as a young man. He moved to Willoughby in 1925.

Mrs. Elvilia Smith, past president of the Ohio Congress of Parents and Teachers and a life member of both the Ohio and national parents teachers organizations, died yesterday in her home, 75 Paxton Road, Will-O-Way Beach, Willoughby Township, Lake County.
Mrs. Smith had made her home there for the last 22 years. She was born in Cleveland 75 years ago and was married in 1895 to John Smith, also of Cleveland.
Mrs. Smith's activities in child welfare covered a long period. At the time of her death she was the oldest living past president of the Ohio Parent-Teacher's body. She was also a member of the Emerson Club of Cleveland.
While living in East Cleveland Mrs. Smith was an active worker in Sixth United Presbyterian Church there. Since residing in Willoughby Township she has been a member of the Mentor Plains Methodist Church.
She and her husband celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1945.
Surviving her, besides her husband, and her daughter, Mrs. Earl Mason of Kenmore, N.Y; her son Allen E. Smith of Willoughby Township; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be a 2pm Thursday in the Davis Funeral Home, Willoughby. Burial will be in the Lake View Cemetery.

Palms and tall cathedral candles, with pink peonies decorated the living room where the marriage ceremony was read by Rev. W.A. Rutledge, pastor of the Wade Park Methodist Church. The wedding supper was served at tables shaded by pink candles, and the favors were rose color. Only immediate members of the family were present.
Mr. and Mrs. Mason left on the Detroit boat for a two weeks' trip in Canada. On their return they will make their home with Mr. and Mrs. Smith for the present.1

The bride was lovely in a filmy gown of white tulle over silver, with silver slippers and lillies of the valley in her tulle veil. The only attendant was Miss Isla Smith, a school friend, who was in white georgette. Mr. Fred Mason of Windsor, Can., brother of the bride groom, acted as best man.
Palms and tall cathedral candles, with pink peonies decorated the living room where the marriage ceremony was read by Rev. W.A. Rutledge, pastor of the Wade Park Methodist Church. The wedding supper was served at tables shaded by pink candles, and the favors were rose color. Only immediate members of the family were present.
Mr. and Mrs. Mason left on the Detroit boat for a two weeks' trip in Canada. On their return they will make their home with Mr. and Mrs. Smith for the present.1
Earl Henry Mason died on 25 December 1978 at age 86 in Whittier, Los Angeles, California.1 He was buried on 27 December 1978 in Rose Hill Memorial Park (Lot 1676), Whittier, Los Angeles, California.1
