     Sidney Thomas Joyce was born on 22 October 1888 in Russell Gulch, Gilpin, Colorado. He married Blanche Marie Harris, daughter of Sherman T. Harris and Margaret Jane Williams, on 19 August 1913 in Blackhawk, Gilpin, Colorado. Sidney Thomas Joyce died on 22 October 1918 at age 30 in Russell Gulch, Gilpin, Colorado.

     Sherman T. Harris was born on 22 April 1866 in Shanners Station, Pennsylvania. He was the son of William Harris and Maria Morgan. Sherman T. Harris married Margaret Jane Williams, daughter of John H. Williams and Margaret Jane Pugh, on 25 September 1894 in Denver, Denver, Colorado. Sherman T. Harris died on 12 February 1942 at age 75 in Denver, Denver, Colorado. He was buried in Fairmont Cemetery, Denver, Denver, Colorado.

Before settling in Colorado, he went to Alaska as part of the Klondike gold rush. He participated in the Oklahoma Land Rush where he staked a claim and sold it a few days later.

About 1908 he participated in a land deal in Florida. He bought several pieces of property and sold them in a short time.

Served as a deputy sheriff in Gilpin Co. for a short period of time. The sheriff at this time was Tom Cody. His brother John Cody was also a deputy. They were probably descendants of or relatives of Buffalo Bill Cody who is buried near Russell Gulch.

While serving as a deputy sheriff he was involved in the Gailbraith family murder investigation. This murder was written up in True Detective in about 1936.

He worked as a mine superintendent for several years and then worked for the Colorado Game and Fisheries Department for nearly 30 years.
