     Margaret Jane Williams was born on 1 March 1879 in Wales. She was the daughter of John H. Williams and Margaret Jane Pugh. Margaret Jane Williams married Sherman T. Harris, son of William Harris and Maria Morgan, on 25 September 1894 in Denver, Denver, Colorado. Margaret Jane Williams died on 28 April 1959 at age 80 in Denver, Denver, Colorado. She was buried in Fairmont Cemetery, Lot E 1/2 172 Blk 42, Denver, Denver, Colorado; Funeral services were held in the Christ Lutheran Church Denver, CO.
     

     Biographical Notes for Margaret Jane Williams: came thru Ellis Island with her mother about 1888. She was also known as Maggie Williams. Margaret appeared on the census of 1900 at Russell, Gilpin, Colorado, in the household of Sherman T. Harris.¹

     Elizabeth C. Brink was born on 2 February 1832 in Pennsylvania.¹ She was the daughter of William A. Brink and Keziah Wood. Elizabeth C. Brink married Isaiah Tubbs DeSilva, son of Abner DeSilva and Mary Tubbs, on 24 November 1850.
     Elizabeth appeared on the census of 1860 at Falls, Wyoming, Pennsylvania, in the household of Isaiah Tubbs DeSilva.² Elizabeth appeared on the census of 1870 at Falls, Wyoming, Pennsylvania, in the household of Isaiah Tubbs DeSilva.³ Elizabeth appeared on the census of 1880 at Falls, Wyoming, Pennsylvania, in the household of Isaiah Tubbs DeSilva.⁴ Elizabeth C. Brink appeared on the census of 1900 at Tunkhannock, Wyoming, Pennsylvania.⁵

     Isaiah Tubbs DeSilva was born on 5 December 1826 in Schoharie County, New York. He was the son of Abner DeSilva and Mary Tubbs. Isaiah Tubbs DeSilva married Elizabeth C. Brink, daughter of William A. Brink and Keziah Wood, on 24 November 1850.
     

     Biographical Notes for Isaiah Tubbs DeSilva: On the Declaration of Recruit he states he is 37 years and two months of age and that he volunteered at Waverly Boro., Luzerne Co., PA. and was mustered in at Scranton, PA.

The description given by the enlisting officer (Capt. S.N. Bradford, Provost Marshall of 12th Dist. PA) is as follows:
Blue Eyes, Brown hair, Florid complexion and 5 feet 7 in. tall.

Enlisted in Co. K, 11th Regiment of the PA Cav.

Sworn on 29 Feb 1864 at Scranton, PA.

From various muster rolls it seems that he served most of his tours in Co. D and not Co. K and performed daily duties as the Company cook.

Mustered out as a Private in Co. D of the 11 Cav. of PA on 13 Aug 1865 in Richmond, VA.

     Abner DeSilva was born on 22 September 1778 in New Jersey. He was the son of Joseph DeSilva and Hanna Compton.¹ Abner DeSilva married Mary Tubbs, daughter of Israel Tubbs and Elizabeth Lewis, in 1802 in Gilboa, Schoharie, New York. Abner DeSilva died in 1835 in Gilboa, Schoharie, New York.²
     Abner DeSilva was also known as Abner DeSylva.¹ During his Military Service he: Served in War of 1812 in Capt. Fink's militia.

On the Company Muster Roll as a Private in D Co. of the 11th NY Militia aka Capt. Isaac Brown's Company of Detached Militia in a NY Regiment commanded by Lt. Col. Calvin Rich. This company was also designated at various times as Capt. Iassc Brown's, Lieut. John Fink's and Lieut. John Murphy's Company. This muster roll was for the period 24 Aug to Oct 24, 1812 and was dated 15 Nov 1182. Shows date of enlistment as 24 Aug and to serve until 24 Feb 1813. Term of service was 2 months and 12 days. Pay per month $6.66 and he was due $15.98. Noted that he was allowed 12 days to go home.

     Mary Tubbs was born in April 1784 in Shodack, Rensselaer, New York. She was the daughter of Israel Tubbs and Elizabeth Lewis. Mary Tubbs married Abner DeSilva, son of Joseph DeSilva and Hanna Compton, in 1802 in Gilboa, Schoharie, New York. Mary Tubbs died on 8 March 1853 at age 68 in Schoharie, Schoharie, New York.¹

     John H. Williams was born circa October 1839 in Wales.¹ He married Margaret Jane Pugh in Wales. John H. Williams died in 1902 in Russell Gulch, Gilpin, Colorado.
     John H. Williams emigrated in 1884 from Wales; Came to US ahead of the rest of the family. Probably came thru NY with sons Will and Hugh and maybe one other child. Best info is that he went straight to Russell Gulch, CO upon arrival. Gold Fever?????¹ He was naturalized on 30 June 1886 The Certificate is on file at the County Court House of Gilpin County, Colorado. Certificate signed by Clayton F. Becker, Judge. at Gilpin County, Colorado. He appeared on the census of 1900 at Russell, Gilpin, Colorado.¹

     Margaret Jane Pugh was born circa July 1841 in Wales.¹ She married John H. Williams in Wales. Margaret Jane Pugh died in 1908 in Russell Gulch, Gilpin, Colorado.
     Margaret Jane Pugh emigrated circa 1888 from Wales; With daughter Margaret (Maggie) and son Jack. Supposedly went straight to Russell Gulch, Colorado to join her husband. Margaret appeared on the census of 1900 at Russell, Gilpin, Colorado, in the household of John H. Williams.¹

     George Kates was born on 23 June 1817 in Delaware.¹ He was the son of George Kates and Rachel Stanton. George Kates married Jane Floyd, daughter of Samuel Floyd and Jane Jones, on 21 November 1839. George Kates died on 28 July 1890 at age 73 in Greenville, Darke, Ohio.

George Kates appeared on the census of 1850 at Wilmington, New Castle, Delaware.²

     Jane Floyd was born on 15 June 1820 in Virginia. She was the daughter of Samuel Floyd and Jane Jones. Jane Floyd married George Kates, son of George Kates and Rachel Stanton, on 21 November 1839. Jane Floyd died on 1 August 1868 at age 48 in Adair County, Iowa.

     Francis Asbury Kates was born on 28 June 1850 in Delaware. He was the son of George Kates and Jane Floyd. Francis Asbury Kates married Lousia Henrietta Catherine Johnson, daughter of Nathaniel S. Johnson and Johanna Catherine Bauer, on 28 January 1873 in Dayton, Montgomery, Ohio, by By David Van Horn pastor of the 1st Reformed Church. Francis Asbury Kates died on 17 October 1919 at age 69 in Lincoln, Lancaster, Nebraska.
     Francis Asbury Kates was also known as Frank A. Kates. He was a carpenter. He appeared on the U.S. census of 1880 residing at 136 Yellow Spring St., Springfield, Clark, Ohio.¹ He appeared on the U.S. census of 1900 in Ord, Valley, Nebraska.² He appeared on the U.S. census of 1910 residing at 1020 K St., Lincoln, Lancaster, Nebraska.³

     Rachel Stanton was born on 2 February 1788 in Salem, Salem, New Jersey.¹ She was the daughter of Jacob Stanton and Rachel Pedrick. Rachel Stanton married George Kates, son of Jacob Kates and Ms. *Unknown*, on 31 July 1807. Rachel Stanton died on 6 March 1829 at age 41 in Rockland, New Castle, Delaware.

     Lousia Henrietta Catherine Johnson was born in August 1850 in Ohio. She was the daughter of Nathaniel S. Johnson and Johanna Catherine Bauer. Lousia Henrietta Catherine Johnson married Francis Asbury Kates, son of George Kates and Jane Floyd, on 28 January 1873 in Dayton, Montgomery, Ohio, by By David Van Horn pastor of the 1st Reformed Church.      Samuel Floyd was born on 22 May 1778 in Middletown, Monmouth, New Jersey. He was the son of Daniel Floyd and Barbra Davis. Samuel Floyd married Jane Jones, daughter of William Jones and Ester Ellis, in 1802. Samuel Floyd died on 28 April 1858 at age 79 in Wilmington, New Castle, Delaware.

     Jane Jones was born on 17 June 1781. She was the daughter of William Jones and Ester Ellis. Jane Jones married Samuel Floyd, son of Daniel Floyd and Barbra Davis, in 1802. Jane Jones died on 30 December 1842 at age 61 in New Jersey.

     Daniel Floyd was born in 1725. He was the son of James Floyd. Daniel Floyd married Barbra Davis. Daniel Floyd died in 1795.
     Daniel Floyd was also known as David Floyd.

     Barbra Davis was born in 1735. She married Daniel Floyd, son of James Floyd. Barbra Davis died in 1806.

     William Jones was born on 4 June 1751. He married Ester Ellis, daughter of George Ellis and Esther Nutt. William Jones died in 1793.

     Ester Ellis was born in 1758. She was the daughter of George Ellis and Esther Nutt. Ester Ellis married William Jones.

     James Floyd was the son of Mr. Floyd. James Floyd died in 1750.
     James Floyd resided in Middletown, New Castle, Delaware. James Floyd resided in Wilmington, New Castle, Delaware.

     Mr. Floyd was the son of Charles Floyd.
