     Biographical Notes for George Oliver Capron: As a young man he went to work for the Rail Road and was the Station Agent in Newington, CT. For the next 12 years he farmed in West Swanzey, NH. He then returned to the RR and served as the Freight Agent at Willimantic, CT for a short time. He eventually purchased the Capron homestead in NH and returned to farming. Was active in civic affairs. Was a selectman in 1871 and 1881. Served in the state legislature in 1875 and 1876. Religiously was a Universalist.
